On the 13th of February 2015 the European Commission officially approved Slovenia’s Rural Development Programme (RDP) for the period 2014–2020. Slovenia is thus in the first group of Member States that will be able to implement the measures of the new programme period. This confirmation ensures 1.1 billion euros for the development of Slovenian agriculture and rural areas, with 838 million euros coming from the EU budget.
